Jim has a BBA from the University of Georgia, earned his CTC designation. Jim is located in Arlington, VA.

Pleasant Holidays - Business Development Manager

Carlos R. Banks, Business Development Manager of Pleasant Holidays and Journese, joined Pleasant Holidays in 2008 overseeing the Florida territory. He has overseen a sales growth for the territory every year since joining the company.
Carlos earned his BS in Travel and Tourism Management from Florida International University. He has been in the travel and tourism business for over 40 years. Most of this time was working for international airlines in Mexico and Southeast Asia. He has traveled to over 60 countries.
He has escorted trade missions from Michigan to Mexico, with one including Gerald Ford. Initiated and escorted a trade mission from Florida to Malaysia. This was largest trade mission in Malaysia’s history from the USA. This resulted in putting an astronaut to the International Space Station in 2007 and Nova Southeastern University offering a degree program in Malaysia.
Carlos has held the position as President of Skal International USA. Skal is the largest travel and tourism organization in the world. He has also held the positions as Chairman of Pacific Asia Travel Association - Florida Chapter (PATA); Treasurer of Caribbean Tourism Organization - South Florida Chapter (CTO); and Board Member of Meeting Planners International - South Florida Chapter (MPI).
During his life, he has been honored to have been with the Presidents or Prime Ministers of: United States, Mexico, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Bolivia, Malta and Malaysia. He also meet with Pope Benedict and the King of Thailand.
He has been honored for his work in the travel and tourism industry as “Kentucky Colonel” by the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky; “Arkansas Traveler” by the Governor of the State of Arkansas; “Friend of Kedah” by the Chief Minister of the State of Kedah in Malaysia; and “Member of Distinction of Skal International USA” by Skal International USA.
